The 21st Century Systems: An Updated Vision of Discrete-Time Fractional Models
نویسندگان
چکیده
Two different approaches for describing discrete-time fractional linear systems are presented. The first is based on the nabla and delta derivatives. In this case, suitable exponentials introduced used to define discrete Laplace transforms. second approach bilinear (Tustin) transformations. For both cases, appropriate algorithms obtaining impulse, step, frequency responses state-variable representation also analysed.

Machine Vision for Medicine of 21st Century
Medical Image Analysis, Surgery Simulation, and Medical Robotics are young scientific fields with huge potential applications and many challenging research problems. I will present a list of such problems including rigid and deformable registration of multimodal brain images, motion analysis from dynamic sequences of cardiac images, and soft-tissue modeling for liver surgery. I will also discus...
متن کاملThe Socratic Method in the 21st Century (Updated)
For many non-lawyers (and a good many lawyers), law school conjures up images of large lecture halls packed with students being instructed by an overbearing, authoritarian professor relentlessly posing a series of questions to the hapless students caught in the line of fire. As vividly perfected by the fictitious Professor Kingsfield in The Paper Chase, the pedagogy is commonly known as the “So...
متن کاملA Vision for 21st Century Agricultural Research
To achieve this vision will require us to let go of habits and preconceived notions in order to work toward understanding the diverse cultures and communities that comprise research, extension, and industry and to find new ways of bringing them together productively and creatively in order to create synergies and achieve efficiencies. The specific ways for achieving this vision will be many and...
متن کاملOptimal Finite-time Control of Positive Linear Discrete-time Systems
This paper considers solving optimization problem for linear discrete time systems such that closed-loop discrete-time system is positive (i.e., all of its state variables have non-negative values) and also finite-time stable. For this purpose, by considering a quadratic cost function, an optimal controller is designed such that in addition to minimizing the cost function, the positivity proper...
